Spring is on the way,

Writer's picture: Hollow BoneHollow Bone

There is a little bird, I havent identified yet, but I hear it almost non stop from sun up to sundown, singing. I imagine it is a male, and he is signaling spring.

I also have been hearing the great horned owl at night, for me this is the first bird of the year that I notice calling it's mate. As the 2 great horned owls get closer to mating so do their calls, and eventually their calls overlap. Signaling that the two pairs have bonded.

Life continues,

In Texas we will have some 80' days, and I am trying my best not to get committed to how nice it is. I know we will get another cold snap or 2, or 3 before it's all said and done.

On the business side of things, we just launched the latest batch of shearlings, you can find these on the website. There won't be another batch for 3 months. Slow "fashion" takes time. I am so excited to report that I have found a sewing house in Texas close to home, almost all of my production will move to this factory. My products or offerings have always been made in the US but to have them Made in Texas is a dream and I couldn't be happier.

Some things I am loving,

I have listened to several podcasts now by Mel Robbins that have been really inspiring. In one recently she interviewed Martha Beck. I have listened to it several times and I learn something each time, it's beautiful and I very much recommend it.

I will make sure to link it along with my amazon link with some of my favorite self care products I am using. I know amazon isn't for everyone, this link helps me out with a certain percentage of sales coming back, and as someone who lives rural with my only access for over an hour being Wal Mart and Dollar General, I have to use Amazon sometimes. I will only be linking products that I try, and enjoy.

From the heart,

I just wrote my most recent Substack, some thoughts on prayer and manifestation. And what feels most important to add here is this, our words are like magic, spoken from the heart. I hope as we begin what has already been a rough year, that we can remember to take a breath before we speak or share, that we can have empathy for others, and that we focus on connection rather than division.

Grace and grit, we got this

Love you, to the bone
